About

Ern

Ernie Hansell was born in 2009 and has lived his life with a complex neurological condition that affects his mobility and communication. He is non-verbal and uses a wheelchair for mobility, but those things only tell a small part of his story.

What people notice first about Ernie is his warmth. He has a gentle, expressive presence and a way of lighting up a room without saying a word. His smiles, gestures, and reactions speak clearly to the people who know him well.

Ernie loves music, sensory experiences, and being around people who care about him. He has been through many medical procedures and hospital stays throughout his life, showing a quiet resilience that continues to inspire the people around him.

To those who know him, Ernie is not defined by his medical challenges. He is a sweet, curious young person whose presence brings joy, patience, and perspective to everyone in his circle.
